Most of the guests brought ingredients with them and we started cooking. Mattia already had the idea of what the lentil soup should be and he tried to keep it safe from what did not fit within his original recipe. I tried to make the whole cooking process truly democratic, throwing a bit of every ingredient into the pot. Niels wanted to force his beef contribution into the soup (knowing that Nicola was vegetarian). Mattia said that in order to make things work well we can't permit everyone to do whatever they wish, that there needs to be some kind of leadership. But who was to have one? Who was to decide?
